With more than 20 years of experience in the Twin Cities nonprofit sector, I bring a practical, strategic approach to fundraising, nonprofit leadership, and communications. I currently serve as Vice President of Advancement at VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People), where I lead fundraising, donor engagement, communications, and advancement strategy. Alongside my leadership role at VEAP, I provide fundraising consulting to nonprofit organizations seeking to strengthen their fundraising strategy, grant development, donor engagement, and overall advancement efforts.

 

Previously, I served as Executive Director of Dakota Woodlands, a shelter serving families experiencing homelessness, and held leadership roles in development and communications at the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, Angel Foundation, and Emerge Community Development. My career also includes fundraising and communications positions with the Animal Humane Society and Episcopal Community Services. Working across organizations of different sizes, missions, and stages of growth has shaped my belief that the best fundraising strategies are both ambitious and grounded in what is realistic for each organization.

I hold a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management from Hamline University and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of St. Thomas. I am a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and was selected to serve as a 2026 CFRE Ambassador, helping promote the value of professional certification, ethical fundraising, and continued growth within the profession. I am also an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and have served in board leadership roles with several Minnesota nonprofit organizations.
